THOR Shield® is a mobile communications and command center service intended for use in planned or unplanned public safety events. In addition to service as a unified command center, THOR Shield provides options for public safety answering points (PSAPS) in need of backup facilities for system deployments and/or upgrades.
THOR Shield’s specialized staff and mobile communications/command center provide on-demand operational continuity and technical support whenever public safety communications services are compromised or when a mobile emergency operations center is needed to support multi-agency event/incident coordination
THOR is an 80-foot long, two-story mobile emergency response center equipped with state of the art communications equipment and technology. It can house up to 22 configurable work stations and is fully self sufficient with a 70kW diesel generator. The second story is home to a private conference room. Security features include secured badge access and built-in video security system.
THOR is suited for all types of road conditions, and is especially ideal for rural deployments. It is configured for eight operator positions, with additional space for command staff in a conference room-type setting and is self-sufficient with a diesel generator and galley area.
Serving a multitude of scenarios, THOR has supported local emergency communications for large-scale events such as the Super Bowl, the Martin Luther King 50th Anniversary celebration in Washington, D.C., open aire concerts in diverse locations, and many systems’ deployments and upgrades.
THOR Shield services include use of the entire facility, supported by a specialized, dedicated staff and technical support. A virtual imprint of the emergency communications center provides multi-disciplinary and interoperable 9-1-1 and/or inter-agency communication services for call taking, radio and dispatch.
